Designer: Renzo Frau

VANITY FAIR Armchair by Poltrona Frau

Officially named the ‘model 904’, but known, since 1984, as ‘Vanity Fair’, over time this armchair has become the very emblem of Poltrona Frau. The project, which was first produced in 1930, four years after the premature death of Renzo Frau, would appear to have been re-elaborated, as a great many others would be later, from the designs left by Renzo to his wife Sabina. The strong volumetric confi guration of Vanity Fair has raised it to the status of a universally recognised icon of Italian design.

Seasoned beechwood. Suspension with hand tied steel-springs connected to jute belts. Rubberised and vegetable horsehair padding. Down filled seat cushions. Leather piping runs along the seams. Pelle Frau® upholstery with external back part and sides enriched by leather covered tacks. Feet are in a dark walnut stain. Also available the Baby version.

Numbered series. Plate is 24 Kt gold plated in a galvanic bath.

Dimensions [ cm ]: L 94 x P 91 x H 99
