This chair came to represent modernity in Italian design: with its new design standing as a model for Italy’s new industry. Superleggera was a “first” in terms of its design in that it stood for a moment of great transformation made possible by real collaboration between the designer and skilled manufacturers.
An appealing look, which emphasises elegance and comfort as major features of modern design. The Alanda chair has a steel frame, polyurethane padding and it is upholstered entirely in leather or eco-leather.

Designed by Naoto Fukasawa, the chair is named “Belle” after the story of “The Beauty and the Beast”.
The character of this elegant chair is expressed by the back support and the armrests, and highlighted by the obtuse angle line around the elbow area. All four legs are slightly curved outwards at the bottom to give a classic feel as well.
